HERE and THERE
While I was preparing to come down to Florida this winter I knew that a few of my close friends would not be joining me this season. In my mind I figured that it would be a quiet few months but at least I won't be in the freezing and snowy north country.

Well, it has turned out to be one of the busiest and happiest winters in a long time. Haven't spent much time at the pool since it's been so cool BUT the few times that I went, I renewed acquaintance with any old Florida friend and met a few new ladies.

Nassau, Bahamas - Palm Tree

When I stop to think about it, I have some friends who love to cook and bake, some don't know what the kitchen is for, some love the movies, some never go, some love to shop, some hate it, some are reader, some not, some could go out to eat every night, some only want to go out once in a blue moon. And, you know what, that's a good thing - variety is the spice of life so if you feel like a movie, you have a movie buddy, if you feel like going out to eat, you have a buddy for that too.

One of my friends is always on the look-out for a fun or unusual activity that doesn't cost much money. She introduced me to Paradise Bank in Boca Raton. She has an account with this most unusual bank that sponsors a complimentary lunch every Wednesdasy for clients and their friends. I'm one of her lucky friends that has enjoyed some delicious lunches.

As a matter of fact, I'll be going to the bank for lunch this coming Wednesday. Once you are out with my friend you can count on doing something interesting after the lunch, we'll be going to a temple nearby that will be offering a program presented by a musical group. Admission is $3.00. The programs are usually enjoyable.

That's just a taste of what she comes up with!!

Now, it's getting to be time for me to pack up and head North. My thoughts now are, I have a big adjustment coming up.

Over the past few years the population in my development back home has changed, so instead of going 75 miles an hour, I'll be going 25 miles an hour. I might like it at first, till I get settled again but then I'll be looking to make waves.

"Seek and ye shall find." I'll try.

Lot's to do before I leave so I just might make one more post before I close shop here.

Bye for now.

Comments:
Glad you're having a lovely time, Millie!!!!!

Wow, times flies. I have come to mark the end of winter with your return to Massachusetts!

It seems like you only just went there, Millie!! Time flies for both of us, I guess. Safe travels to the north!

Hi Millie….

Just dropped by this morning for a visit and based on your post thought it most appropriate to say…..

“Three things you can count on migrating back North at this time of the year….

Monarch Butterflies
Ruby-Throated Hummingbirds
Millie ‘My Mom’ Garfield

…..all three being some of Nature’s loveliest!”

Already time to get back to Boston? That means packing!
Meanwhile, enjoy sunny Florida and all the interesting things you do there!

Millie I know that no matter where you are, North or South, the good times will roll.

Packing up again. Millie, it seems like you just packed up to go to Florida. . . tempus fugit! I love the idea of a bank that gives lunch. Have to drop that idea to B of A here in town, but don't think they will take to the idea.

Looking forward to another post before you head north.

Can't believe it's time for you to return to Boston. Sure agree with you about variety adding spice to life. Glad you have so many friends and activities. Hope they know how lucky they are to have you as a friend, too.

Testing to see if my comments are working.
