I Can't Open It IX

Now down in Florida, Millie from My Mom's Blog has some trouble getting a Lemon Creme Cake out of it's package. She says, "It almost turned out to be a lemon."

Millie...you never fail to bring a smile to my face and a giggle. And welcome to Sunny (?) Florida....it's very foggy over here on the west coast and looks like rain any minute.
Really enjoyed this video, as always and hope you'll be "up and running" soon. And hope you enjoyed that yummy cake...doesn't Publix make the best baked goods? (Granted, it's not a typical New England bakery...but...still pretty good)

Yay!!!! sorted it's working now!!!!

That cake looks yummy!!! i would love some but i just got back from dinner with my friends (we went to a really nice resturant for our christmas meal) and i think i might explode. lol

I had the same problem with one of those cake containers that Millie had. I should have been able to open it, but it was practically impossible!

Yes, Pubix makes the best bakery products!! They beat any supermarket up North. Not only is the pasty good but their bread and rolls are yummy too.

Such temptation down here, between the deli's and the bakeries, no wonder I go home weighing more then when I arrived.

It seems that lots of people have the same problems that I have opening packages. Companies make a good product and then they foul it up with a container that the customer can't open.
And I thought I was the only one that had this problem!! ;-)

That cake was "too good." Nice texture, light lemon taste - good eating alone or even better with some vanilla ice cream

I still have some cake left and it's a good thing I haven't bought any ice cream yet because I would have that too. I'm going to the dogs down here and I've only been here a few days!

It's still raining, getting use out of my raincoat and umbrella, maybe the sun will shine tomorrow.

Hope it has stopped raining in Paris so you can get out and continue to take those great photos.

The cake looks delicious! We're having one of those "sunny"(?) Calif. days, but haven't heard any thunder. We do need the rain, so I can't complain.

I will join you for a cup of green tea and a small slice of that lemon cake would hit the spot. I'm dying to get a video cam and mike set up somehow, so we could have a "tea party."

As for getting in to those pesky plastic containers, they are a pain. Sometimes the plastic finally tears for me and it's a wonder I don't slice my finger on the edge. Do take care!

We had a "I cant open it" moment earlier!

My fiance went and bought two spring rolls and they came with sauce in them, he walked up to me on his way back from the shop telling me he couldn't open the pot and i opened it for him and while i was doing it automatically thought of you!!!!!!

I usually use a knife to pry open those plastic covers on cakes or pies. I just love you site "I Can't Open it." I get a chuckle out of it.

I haven't heard of Publix in years. Brings back old memories. I use to live in Florida many years ago.

It makes me feel good to realize that there are many people who are in the same boat as I am, it's not just seniors that have this problem !

Maybe the manufactures will get the message someday and improve the packaging.
