THE ENGAGEMENT PARTY
Lieberman/Glassberg Engagement Party

This afternoon I attended a wonderful event - the engagement of a cousin of mine who met a lovely young lady on the internet. They live a short distance from each other but their paths had never crossed. Isn't there a song with that theme
"She travels all over the world searching for someone - doesn't meet anyone - returns home and finds someone right next door."
I've heard many performers sing it and enjoy it every time and today I witnessed the real thing!

Lieberman/Glassberg Engagement Party

Sharing this special occasion with family and friends was a pleasure, the music was great, the food was great but one thing was missing. When the waitress came around to ask who wanted decaf coffee, she served them, didn't ask who wanted regular coffee and just disappeared. I never got my coffee!!

When you view this video you will get "the rest of the story."

Enjoy.

Dear Millie, Thank You for sharing your time at the Engagement Party in your blog. This event seems to be a Mini Wedding. Everyone was dressed so beautiful. You looked lovely and Steve did a great job with the photography. I'm so glad you finally received your coffee. I guess you were at Steve and Carol's home when Steve made you work for it with a Yiddish Video and THEN you got your reward. You are funny and I got many Chuckles.
Keep up the good work this was a lovely Blog.

Reminds me of a friend (in her forties, worked at ABC-TV, who lived in NYC for years who finally met a guy from her hometown in Ohio that had been carrying around her address foisted on him by his mother years earlier. He and my friend married -- all those earlier years they could have had together.

Lovely photo -- you look great!

As for your coffee -- that was cruel and unusual punishment -- no doubt in my mind! *smile*

Gee, Millie, now I have to go make a second cup of coffee!

Millie, this was one of the most hilarious Yiddish lesson I have ever watched, loved every minute of it.
Steve! If you read this, I thought you were the most charming son, not some sort of cruel torturer ;)

Wonderful post, Millie!

Though I am just getting 'round to reading this - 10:00 PM at night, now you flung a cravin' on me for some cuppa Joe!

I'll shall have to just wait for breakfast - if I drink caffeine now I'll be a hoot owl.

Millie what a great video and Yiddish lesson.
Only one problem now I need to go make myself a coffee.

Oh, Millie....you ARE such a treasure...I'm still chuckling about your coffee and the Yiddish class. I'm very picky with my coffee and I can attest.....YOU make WONDERFUL coffee! I loved visiting with you a couple years ago and sharing a cup of that nectar of the gods!
Love the engagement story.....how neat that they found each other. Literally right in their own back yard. Lovely photo of everyone!
