A MOST UNUSUAL DAY
Remember that wonderful ballad, "At Last?" Well, I thought of it today.

Video: At Last by Steve's friend Alexa Goddard

I stayed home all day today and have no plans for tonight!! This Florida life style has me spinning like a top but the top has to slowdown to meet my energy level.

There are days when there are at least two activities that I participate in, like the day I play Mah Jongg, and after the game we go out to dinner.

No cooking that day!!

Just yesterday I went out to lunch with a few ladies and after lunch we went to a nearby Temple that had a delightful musical program.

Last Sunday it was a card game at my place and then out to eat.

We keep the refreshments simple but it still meant I had to go to my favorite shop, "The Boys" for their wonderful selection of fruit. And how do you go to a store like that and not buy a bunch of other goodies!

Tomorrow night I'll be going out to dinner and then to a show at my club house featuring Freddie Roman and Dick Capri. I'm sure there will be laughs aplenty!

There are many options to keep me busy, the thing is, as I get older I find that I have to be careful not to try to do more then I can manage.

For years I made a commitment to myself, "make a post every Sunday" and I did that for a very long time.

Here in Florida, one day runs into another and before I know it the week is over.

I don't visit my blogging friends like I used to and my posts happen "whenever." I feel bad about that.

Maybe when I get back to Massachusetts I'll get back to my old lifestyle.

Today I just had to stay home, pay bills, make phone calls, do laundry, sweep the floors, and make a post!!

Happy Day!!

Comments:
I wish I was you. You are certainly living the good life and will live a VERY long time.

Sounds like you're having a great time. And I love Alexa's video!!
I'm a devoted Etta James fan and "At Last" is my favorite.

I miss your once a week blogs!!! They gave me a boost no matter when I was able to read them. Can't wait for them to return!!!

You are allowed to keep any schedule you wish. We can be happy just reading you.

Sometimes I envy your lifestyle.
You stay busy with friends.
I spend most of my time surrounded by woods, writing, my camera and my friend Miss Callie. Also my days fly by and I wonder "what have I accomplished."
Take care
life is good...

I agree with Tabor - don't apologize. I am not posting or reading blogs like I used to either. Life intervenes and as you say, it has to tone down to my current abilities, which are getting slower and slower!

Etta James lived and died recently in a nearby community further east from my city. I like that tune.

Have Calif. friends touring Fla. now -- they sent me a photo of wild animals outside their balcony where they camped out near Orlando. Maybe you'll want to put that on your activity list! Ha

You captured my M.O. lately:
"I don't visit my blogging friends like I used to and my posts happen "whenever." I feel bad about that."

Don't know what got into me, but
I did just write a piece with everything you'll ever want to know about every movie you've heard of this year. Yes, that's a slight exaggeration, but I have a tendency to do that sometimes.

Enjoy yourself. Maybe you'll watch the Oscars later today, Sun.

Hi Millie, I have news for you...It seems the older I get the faster the time flies. So don't be surprised the days and time will fly when you come back to Massachusetts!
Meanwhile keep your posts coming as they are enjoyable.
