A NINE YEAR ANNIVERSARY!
upload
Image: Fall in New England

I'm pretty good at remembering birthdays and anniversaries but once in a blue moon something slips by me.  It almost happened to me this month but a new reader, who was just getting acquainted with my blog, noted that I've been blogging since October 2003.

Over the years I have blogged about the lighter side of life, movies, food, tv shows, winters in Florida, relationships, childhood, the single life, and married life.  Some of those posts may have had a sad side to them but I always managed to find some humor in them.

Oh yes, and let's not forget my series of videos highlighting the problems with packaging, "I Can't Open It."  They were always good for a laugh!

Haven't done those lately because I now can open just about anything!!!

In January of 2007 I made a post, "My Trip From 65 to 81"  covering things like retirement, losses, changes in me and life in general.

That was one of the few serious and thoughtful posts that I've made over the years.

Now I could write a post, "My Trip from 81 to 87."  But, you know what, I'm not going to do it!!!

I'm going to take the easy way out and say, if you have been reading my blog you know what's been going on these past few years.

Life moves on, things change, we change, time moves faster, we move slower, we may eat less but still gain weight and try to smile, rain or shine!

Comments:
Looking at your beaming smile with your bag of oranges definitely made me smile!
Happy Blogaversary!

Congrats, Millie! Keep up the good work.

Millie,
I am in my twenties and follow your blog. It is so nice and inspiring to read your posts. I look forward to many more!

I can certainly sympathize about eating less and gaining weight - or maybe I'm just fooling myself that I'm eating less? LOL

Congratulations on your blogiversary, Millie!! I have always enjoyed reading what you write.

I remember reading you blog back when blog conventions and interviewing bloggers was all the rage. Now that there are so many of us, we are no longer odd, and perhaps even interesting. Congratulations on your stamina and may you blog many, many more years.

Nine years of sharing is a very good record Millie. I look forward to another Nine years of your adventures and thoughts.

I LOOK FORWARD TO READING ALL ABOUT YOU. I TOO AM IN MY LATE 80's AND FIND THAT BEING OLD IS NOT A 'BOWL OF CHERRIES' AND THESE ARE NOT 'THE GOLDEN YEARS'. GUESS THINGS COULD BE WORSE SO I WON'T COMPLAIN. PLEASE WRITE MORE OFTEN.REGARDS ,,,,

I so enjoy your trailblazing tales about life on the other side of 65. Happy Anniversary and keept up the good work for those following close behind. Dianne

Happy Anniversary Millie - I remember when you were new to blogging and some hunky soap star was singing to you on your birthday. Where is he now?
